The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of cultural capital on job commitment of Tehran's 5th municipality staff in 2019. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive and analytical and descriptive-analytical in terms of data collection. Considering the time of data collection, this study is a cross-sectional study. The statistical population of this research is 520 employees of municipality 5 of Tehran. The sample size was determined using the Cochran formula for 273 employees. The method of this study is survey and semi-structured with questionnaires. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.94 for cultural capital questionnaire and 0.9 for employee job commitment questionnaire. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between cultural capital and job commitment of District 5 municipal employees at 99% level. The positive sign of the correlation coefficient indicates that with the improvement of cultural capital indices, employees' job commitment increases. Also, there was a significant relationship between the three dimensions of cultural capital (objective dimension, embodied dimension, and institutionalized dimension) with the job commitment of Tehran Municipality District 5 employees. According to the results of this study, managers are advised to take a positive step towards improving the level of job commitment of employees by paying more attention to the dimensions and components of cultural capital in the organization.
